Direct Hotels for AI assistants
An MCP server over the whole directory. Free, read-only, no API key.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or any Model Context Protocol client and it can search 153,000+ hotels across 110 countries — and hand the traveller the hotel's own booking page rather than an OTA.

Tools
All five are read-only. Nothing here writes, books, charges or changes anything.
- search_hotels
- Hotels in a city, with their direct booking links. Resolves neighbourhoods, administrative regions and spelling variants — "Shinjuku", "Badung Regency" and "Marrakesh" all find the right place. Pass a country when you know it: many city names repeat.
- get_hotel
- Everything about one hotel, including the full description. Takes the id or slug returned by search_hotels.
- find_city
- Which covered cities match a partial name, with counts. Useful for disambiguating before searching.
- check_coverage
- Whether the directory holds anything in a place, and how much. Returns a real count, or an explicit no with alternatives.
- directory_info
- What the directory is and where its coverage is thin. Worth reading before making claims to a user.
Try it
“Find me a boutique hotel in Marrakech I can book direct”
search_hotels resolves Marrakech across both stored spellings — 264 hotels rather than the 75 a literal match would find — and returns each hotel’s own booking URL.
“What are the best-rated hotels in Shinjuku?”
Shinjuku itself holds only two listings, so the search widens to Tokyo and says that it did, rather than silently mixing them together.
“Do you have any hotels in Dallas?”
check_coverage answers no, plainly, and offers US cities we do cover. It will not produce a Dallas hotel from the model’s own memory.
What it will not do
Worth knowing before you build on it, because these are deliberate:
- No prices or availability. We hold neither. Both live on the hotel's own site.
- No bookings. This is a directory. The reservation is between the traveller and the hotel.
- No pretending. Where we have no coverage the tools say so explicitly and offer real alternatives, rather than returning an empty result that invites an assistant to fill the gap from memory.
- No star rating we cannot stand behind. The underlying data is unreliable, so a star class is only returned where it is consistent with the review evidence.
Coverage, honestly
Deep in Western Europe — Italy, Germany, France and Spain hold roughly two thirds of the directory — and in leisure destinations. Thin or absent in many business-travel markets; Texas, for instance, has none at all. Call check_coverage before promising a destination.
In the browser
The same tools are published to in-page browser agents through WebMCP, so an assistant already on this site can use the directory without scraping the page.
